Remarks:   
Objective(s) To introduce drama as a learning and teaching method to participants. 
Programme Description To explore how to use the following in individual subjects / cross-KLAs teaching: (1) Dramatic contexts and stories (2) Improvisational drama conventions (3)“Process Drama” Twelve CPD hours will only be awarded to participants with satisfactory attendance (100% of the contact hours). Being late or early leave for more than 30 minutes (without prior consent) will not be counted as achieving 100% attendance.

Remarks (1)Heads of schools are requested to nominate at most 2 teachers to attend the captioned workshop. Please be reminded that opportunities should be given to those teachers who have not received such training before. Prior application is required and walk-ins will not be entertained. On-line application should reach the Arts Education Section on or before 10 July 2005. Nomination will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis.

(2)Please note that the said workshop is funded by public money. To ensure proper use and no wastage of public money, teachers accepted should attend the course on time. If he/she is unable to attend the course before its commencement, head of the school should arrange another teacher to substitute in order to prevent wastage of public money. The substitute teacher should attend the course with the Substitution Note shown in Appendix I. Head of school is required to fill in a Notice of Absence shown in Appendix II for every absentee to provide the reason(s) for absence and failing to make substitution on time. Completed Substitution Notes and Notices of Absence should be faxed to the “Arts Education Section” for necessary action.

(3)Accepted or rejected teachers and the respective school heads will be notified through the e-Service Portal Account 3 days before course commencement. Teachers attending the course are advised to use public transport. No parking spaces are available at the venue for participants.

(4)Selected event(s) may be filmed and may be developed into online materials for release via Internet at the discretion of the Education and Manpower Bureau.

(5)Special Arrangement for Bad Weather:
a.Workshop for morning session will be cancelled when Typhoon Signal No.8 or above is hoisted or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued at or after 6:30am.
b.Workshop for afternoon session will be resumed when Typhoon Signal No.8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is cancelled at or before 11:30am. Otherwise, workshop for afternoon session will continue to be cancelled.
c.Participants will be notified for further arrangement in due course.
