| Background | According to previous experience, the Advisory Teaching Team of the NET Section found that the school's new EPCs or SETs may need more support to facilitate the implementation of the Primary NET Scheme at schools, hence this workshop is to let the EPCs and SETs who are new to these positions to obtain a clear overview of their roles at school and the ways of implementing the Primary NET Scheme effectively. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Objective(s) | At the end of the workshop, teacher participants should be able to: 1. enhance the learning and teaching of English in their schools with the provision of the NET; and 2. understand their roles and responsibilities with regard to the effective implementation of the Primary NET Scheme in the school. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Programme Description | 1. Introduction to the Primary NET Scheme Objectives; 2. Explanation of the roles and responsibilities of the EPCs/SETs and other stakeholders at school; 3. Understanding of the importance of the collaboration with the Advisory Teaching Team to facilitate the implementation of the PNET Scheme at school effectively; 4. Experience sharing by a NET and a EPC/SET; 5. Group discussion Remarks 1. Heads of schools are requested to submit the online application to the Information Technology in Education Section on or before the closing date of nomination . Nominations will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis whereas considerations will also be given to allow more schools to participate. Prior application is required and walk-ins will not be entertained. 2. Accepted or rejected applicants and the respective school heads will be notified through the e-Service Portal Account at least 7 days before respective event commencement . Successful applicants attending the course should bring along their notification letters for the course and are advised to use public transport. No parking spaces are available at the venue. 3. In the event of public announcement by the Education Bureau that all schools are to be closed as a result of adverse weather conditions (e.g. tropical cyclone or rainstorm), the course scheduled on that session (A.M. or P.M.) will be cancelled. 4. Being late or early leave for more than 30 minutes without prior consent will not be counted as achieving 100% attendance. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

a. Course/Activity in the morning session will be cancelled when Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is issued at or after 6:30 am. b. Course/Activity in the afternoon session will be resumed when Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or Typhoon Signal No.8 or above is cancelled at or before 11:30 am. Otherwise, the Course /Activity is declared to be cancelled. c. Participants will be notified of further arrangement in due course. 2. Car Park Arrangement No car parks will be provided at venue. |
