Background The Government attaches great importance to the promotion of STEM education with a view to nurturing students' learning interest, enhancing their creativity, collaboration and problem solving skills as well as developing their innovativeness. Besides, students are encouraged to study STEM-related disciplines and pursue relevant careers in the future for the sustainable development of Hong Kong. Among the recommended strategies to promote STEM education, enhancement of professional development of teachers through teacher training programmes is a key support measure to facilitate schools to implement STEM education.  
Objective(s) To enhance participants’ pedogogical knowledge of planning and organisation of lessons of STEM-related subjects that integrate STEM activities and learning elements of the respective subjects  
Programme Description The programme includes (1) how STEM activities are integrated into the content of subject teaching; (2) sharing teaching experience of applying STEM education elements in computer literacy lessons; and (3) an introduction to - "Integration of STEM Activities and Subject Teaching" Workshop (Pilot Scheme)

Remarks 1. Prior application is required and walk-ins will not be entertained.

2. Special Arrangements for Bad Weather
a. Course / Activity for morning session will be cancelled when Typhoon Signal No.8 or above is hoisted or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued at or after 6:30 am.
b. Course / Activity for afternoon session will be resumed when Typhoon Signal No.8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is cancelled at or before 11:30 am. Otherwise, Course / Activity for afternoon session will continue to be cancelled.
c. Participants will be notified for further arrangement in due course.

3. Car Park Arrangement
No car parks will be provided at venue.

4. Being late or early leave for more than 30 minutes without prior consent will not be counted as achieving 100% attendance.
