Participant Group Secondary English teachers including NETs  
Objective(s) In this meeting, participants will:
  • learn about LumiVoce’s Ensoul – A Voice for the Wild project and consider how the power of music and visuals can be used in the English language classroom or across the curriculum to inspire students to love and care about the planet;
  • learn about LumiVoce’s Wildlife Story Series and consider how emotive storytelling about animals in the wild can be used in the English language classroom or across the curriculum to educate and encourage students to become lifelong protectors of wildlife;
  • learn about the Voices for the Planet curriculum that LumiVoce is developing for local and international schools in Hong Kong in cooperation with the Chatteris Educational Foundation using music and stories and a “Learn Do Share” educational approach; and
  • discuss how to make use of LumiVoce’s resources to enhance existing units of work or design new units of work on topics such as Endangered Species, Biodiversity and Micro-plastics in the Oceans.

    Cluster Meetings provide a platform for:
  • sharing effective English language learning and teaching strategies;
  • enhancing collaboration between NETs and other English Panel members;
  • supporting the implementation of the English Language curriculum in schools; and
  • promoting communities of learning for ongoing professional development and support.

    b. Course / Activity for afternoon session will be resumed when Typhoon Signal No.8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is cancelled at or before 11:30 am. Otherwise, Course / Activity for afternoon session will continue to be cancelled.
    c. Participants will be notified for further arrangement in due course.
