|Objective(s)||This course offers an experiential learning experience for teachers to understand the development and profession of news media in Hong Kong. The speaker will share the significance of media literacy and strategies to enhance students’ media literacy in the Liberal Studies curriculum. Teachers will be more familiar with the design of meaningful learning experiences in Module 2 “Hong Kong Today” and Module 1 “Personal Development and Interpersonal Relationships”.|
|Programme Description||Hong Kong News-Expo (HKNE) is the former Bridges Street Market built in 1953. In 2013, under Batch III of the Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme, the Journalism Education Foundation Hong Kong Limited was granted the right to revitalise and develop the property into an education facility with news as the main theme. The mission is to showcase the history and development of Hong Kong’s news media and enhance the understanding about the profession of the news media.|

1.For participants being late for or leaving a session early for 30 minutes or more, their attendance of that session will not be counted.
2. Applicants will be notified of the enrollment result through their e-Services Portal accounts.
3. In case of over-subscription, priority will be given to applicants who rank first in their school nomination list.
4. Special Arrangements for Bad Weather
a. Course / Activity for morning session will be cancelled when Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued from 6:30 a.m. onwards.
b. Course/Activity for afternoon session will be resumed when Typhoon Signal No.8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is cancelled at or before 11:30 a.m. Otherwise, course/ activity for afternoon session will continue to be cancelled.
